Ok i guess this is really an opinion based question, and thats exactly what i am looking for.

I have read untold forum threads, that condem (sorry about the spelling through out this post) or praise A-NET, talking about farming, easy ways to make cash, best ways to finish quickly, how to level up quickly, and how to do this that and the other...my question is does anyone actually get any enjoyment from actually playing the game?

For me the enjoyment comes from emmersing myself in my character, meeting new people and basically living a fantasy. (ok so i sound like a little nerd, i'm not at all, but to me thats what the fun of GW is). What enjoyment do you get from claiming to help people by selling them great stuff for mucho OTT prices, and killing stuff over and over? or slating the company that is doing their best to make it all a pleasant experience for you? or even racing through the game to finish it? does anyone who plays GW read the last page of a book to see what happens? nah course ya dont, you enjoy the book, or the movie? I guess its just a certain mindset you have to have, and dont mis understand i am by no means knocking any of the above, one mans pleasure is anothers poison and all that, but i would love to her arguements for those type of players. i dont wanna start a riot by saying farmers are cheats, or people that race through are philistines, i am just curious to know. Knowledge is power.

Also i'd wanna know what the pleasure of those activities are because then maybe i can enhance my gaming.

I love reading a book from end to beggining feels like time travel ;o)

I enjoy playing the game, developing my characters, as well as helping others to enjoy it. the book is fun to read too.

i have fun playing the game, i like to kill monsters for treasure too though, its fun to me.

the game is great ... for myself ... I enjoy meeting new people ... nothing like a good ventrilo role playing moment ... can really get me laughing.

Strategizing is fun, but quirky quick witted role playing (not meaning pve .. just in general ... ) adds character depth and imo ... a greater overall gameplay.

I have fun, and get flamed for it. I play a flawed build (beastmaster) because that's how i want to roleplay my ranger, and i think it's fun to have a giant chicken following me around. I don't care that i have like no gold, or and kinda bad at pvp it's still fun as heck XP
